THE TWIN PASSIONS OF CAR TUNING AND CAR AUDIO
TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT THE 2009 BOLOGNA MOTOR SHOW
Passion for cars – both sporting passion as expressed on the track and creative passion as expressed in the workshop – will be taking centre stage at the
Bologna Motor Show, set to be held at
BolognaFiere from 4 to 8 December 2009. Test drives, races and exhibitions will satisfy the appetite of
motor sport fans, while an entire pavilion will be given over to
fans of car tuning (the art of personalising your own car) and
fans of car audio, with myriad examples of custom cars and sound systems on show in Bologna's expo zone.
The
preview of My Special Car Show – the event dedicated to special cars and sports cars, which is set to be held for the seventh time at
Rimini Fiera from 26 to 28 March 2010 – will be staged in
Pavilion 30 of the Bologna Motor Show and will welcome members of car tuning clubs and car hi-fi associations, as well as fans of car customisation, who will be given the opportunity to exhibit (within a dedicated area) their
most stunning vehicles, allowing visitors to get a handle on what each club is all about. Over the course of four days, these two events – one dedicated to tuning and the other to car audio – will showcase two different (and often intertwined) ways of interpreting car design.
Saturday 5 and
Sunday 6 December will focus on
car audio, with the exhibition of hi-fi systems that have great visual and auditory impact. Those same dates will also see the staging of the
OneCar Finals, bringing to a close the
2009 OneCar Trophy season, which began back in March as part of
My Special Car Show in Rimini.
On
Monday 7 and
Tuesday 8 December, tuning will be in the spotlight, with clubs from all over Italy ready to customise the
“My Special @ Motor Show” space with their
most extraordinary four-wheelers. This event will see the
debut of the “Uragano”, a coupé that has been entirely designed, modelled and produced by hand without recourse to computers - rather, the metal panels and pipes that constitute it have been shaped, welded and beaten by hand.
The
2009 Motor Show will, then, be graced by
sonic power and
crazy cars in a celebration of customisation that will provide visitors with
a great deal of entertainment.
