EXTREME DRIVING WITH SUBARU AT THE 2009 MOTOR SHOW
Subaru Italy will be one of the leading lights of the
Bologna Motor Show – scheduled to be held at BolognaFiere from
4 to 8 December 2009 – gracing the track with its latest models and its rally champions.
During the Motor Show, within
Area 49, Subaru will conduct
dynamic test drives of the Forester and the new Outback. The drivers from the
Subaru Speed Control school will
carry out a series of exercises – with visitors to the Show in the
passenger seat – in order to demonstrate the performance of the two
models in critical situations.
Also making a return to the Motor Show is
extreme driving, with the Subaru Speed Control drivers again at the wheel. Within
Area 48, visitors who get on board the
Impreza STIs will have the opportunity to savour the performance of Subaru's flagship rally car.
Last but not least, just a few days after the final round of the 2009 calendar, 10 of the leading lights of the
Subaru Impreza Rally Cup will once again come head-to-head in the Bologna Motor Show's traditional rally contest. As before, the track of the
MotorSport Arena will provide the backdrop for the Italian mono-marque challenge reserved for Subaru cars.
Subaru Italy will also be appearing – in its rally guise – at the Motor Show on 7 and 8 December for the
Findomestic Memorial Bettega, where it will be represented by two-time Finnish FIA WRC World Rally Champion
Marcus Gronholm, by seven-time winner of the Findomestic Memorial Bettega and former European Rally Champion
Andrea Navarra and by young Norwegian
Mads Östberg, overall winner of the 2009 national title and flag-bearer for Subaru during the recently completed World Championship season.
